Re: Class D/C/B endorsement question
Never saw it that way, the airport I fly out of has class C airspace next to it and I fly through it a lot. I've also flown into some class D airports too.

Re: Class D/C/B endorsement question
During my training, I flew into C/D airspace, however the location of the nearest class B airport made it impractical to fly there so my instructor gave me the B/C/D endorsement, however put a slash through all the B's and wrote "Limitations: no operations in Class B airspace" at the botto...

Re: Who is excited about the new Flight Simulator?
Oh a computer thread! Being super young and working in IT, besides flying computers are my second interest. I don't have the best gaming specs but they can run most everything I want at medium settings. I mostly use X-Plane to keep my skills up but I bought the $1 first month Xbox game pass and I'll...

Re: Bounced landings
Forgot I made this thread, I recently went flying a few days ago and made a few discoveries, I was flying a few knots too fast, wasn't flaring enough, and wasn't picking an aiming point as I used to. Went flying and as I approached I checked my speed, made sure I was aiming for the second runway st...

Re: Instrument training required for >87 knot Vh airplanes?
I trained in a Cessna 162 which has a VH well above 87 knots, and before my solo cross country, I did the little required hood time. Never knew the blue seal was for that as on my sport license the seal is black, since sport pilots aren't really required to know instrument stuff.

Re: Knocking off landing rust
I guess a second lesson is that of pilot rust, because of location and such I can really only get out to fly every other week. During training, I flew every weekend because my original school was closer.

Re: Knocking off landing rust
Good to know, up until I had to take a 2 month flying break from Corona virus I'd say my landings were really good, guess I'm just starting to expose the rust from that.

Knocking off landing rust
Went flying today to try and fix an issue I've noticed with my landings where I'm starting to get a little lazy with the flare, I wouldn't pull back enough which would result in a slight bounce. After doing some touch and go's I've made some progress, not sure where this rust came from since this wa...

Re: CFI-S Flight review
The sport pilot regs seem to have some contradictions here and there, I always stick with a more conservative interpretation.

Rotax 912S/ULS carb heat control
Tomorrow I'll be checking out the second of two P2002s that my school has. It has some really cool avionics and is barely ever rented (N535TA is the tail number if you're curious). I've already flown one of two and that one, like the P92s I've flown, have the 912ULS and no carb heat control, however...

Re: CFI-S Flight review
Neither renter checkouts in an aircraft, nor LSAtransition training for a private pilot, are " required for, and relate to " any FAA rating or privilege. Therefore, as far as the FAA is concerned, they can be performed by anybody who is able to be PIC (that person does not even have to be...

Re: Sport Pilot Ticket - Wife + Baby?
Actually was just thinking about this very question, but yeah sport pilot only permits carrying of one passenger. Although something like a dog doesn't count as a passenger so if you fly for something like PilotsnPaws then as long as you have useful load you could carry as many dogs/cats as you want.
