Re: Finished this morning

A month and a half or so since I finished. Logged 27.2 PIC in the Jabiru. Flew the Bushcat this morning starting on my tailwheel endorsement - it was a ball. Now less than 80 hours until a
1500 total time. Having lots of fun.

Re: Hello from Murfreesboro, TN

Welcome to the forum. I’m based south of CHA in Jasper, GA (JZP) and fly a Jabiru 250SP. Love the airplane, much more than the 162. If you want to come down this way and fly a JAB let me know. Get Inspired Flight owns the airplane and will only rent it to their former students, but I would be happy ...

Finished this morning

Finally - Wx cooperated and went flying with a new CFI for my proficiency check. Great flight - 1.3 in the book and signed off. Good day. We did the oral part a couple of days ago so easy day. Now, tailwheel endorsement time in the Bushcat.

Re: Instrument training required for >87 knot Vh airplanes?

I suspect he meant 61.31 (d). He is a helicopter , glider pilot adding airplane privileges, and would need this endorsement to make solo flights. Nsconductor, When adding a category at the sport pilot level you only need this endorsement if you want to make solo flights before the proficiency check....

Re: Instrument training required for >87 knot Vh airplanes?

Absolutely true! In fact, in my capacity as a DPE over these past couple of years, I have noticed that the most common discrepancy I notice when giving practical exams is missing logbook endorsements. On my DPE website, I've posted for the benefit of both applicants and their Recommending Instructo...

Re: Funding for GA Airports

Typically the federal funds are handled at the state level. If you have a question about a specific airport I would suggest calling your states department of transportation, and if they have one the division of aeronautics. They should be able to shed some light. You could even look on Airnav for t...

Re: Funding for GA Airports

Here is my question - how can one tell if their local airport has ever taken Federal Funds?

800wxbrief.com asks for the information for filing flight plans. You can save it in your profile there.

I realise this is a rather old post, but Get Inspired Flight in Jasper, GA (KJZP) has a Jabiru 250.
