Re: ppl training question
3 Dreaming I'm not sure why you highlighted my previous post and added the comment " 61.23 says you need a third class medical to be a student pilot. You can only use you drivers license in place of a medical if you are seeking a sport pilot rating in a light sport aircraft ." I don't bele...

Re: Allegro and tailwind
Frank, # 2 Flaps on a (MY) Allegro 2000 is 48 degrees... I practice in calm air with that from time to time, and sometimes use it if I'm in a SHORT FIELD LANDING CONTEST!@! With most any wind I use #1 15 degree flaps. and 2500-2800 rmp. I find it much easier to land, safer, softer on the airplane an...

Re: ppl training question
Dang, You did not mention what Airplane you are training in or plan to use for your solo... If it is qualifies under Light Sport rules you do not need a medical first... Any one disagree.. Just because you are going for a PPL does not mean you cannot first solo in a Light Sport Airplane with out a m...

Re: Allegro and tailwind
Pete, Not sure what you saw on who's airplane. I don't think the manufacture put that notice in the airplane, at least there is not one in my Allegro 2000.. This is what is in my 2006 Allegro 2000 POH Limiting Wind Speeds Maximum Demonstrated Headwind Speed 23 mph (i.e. against the direction of the ...
