Why not? Can an SP w/o 3rd class medical learn to fly DA40/G1000 VFR - receiving dual instruction all the time, never logging PIC, never solo - with a goal maybe to get PPL someday... Say, when HR 3708 passes, or FAA abolishes 3rd class, or rather - pigs start flying
Is there something in FARs that prevent SP from receiving dual flight training (pretty much indefinately) from CFI in non-LSA w/o 3rd class medical?
What do you think?
Thanks!

Re: Sport Pilot flying Diamond DA40?
I have flown with a CFI around the Hawaiian islands in a rented Cessna 172, flown with a CFI for aerobatics training in a Zlin, took a bush pilot class in Alaska in a Piper Pacer (converted tri-pacer back to tailwheel), also flew a Tiger Moth with a Brit CFI at RAF Duxford in the UK. I had a great time in each and learned a ton. I wasn't able to log PIC but got training nonetheless. I have those hours in my logbook and they count.
