If you could live anywhere with your aircraft where would it be?

I would choose Lake Tahoe. Spectacular views year round. But I am biased because I live close by. My second place I would like to live and fly would be Florida.

Well, I suppose I have to buy an airplane first.

Despite the relatively high cost of living, I think we'd stay where we are in Bucks County, PA. We like our home and our neighborhood, and KTTN is only six miles from our house.

Where in Florida? The weather and airspace both appear to be very tough for flying.

Lake Tahoe sounds interesting. Any particular airport or area?

As for Florida I just always wanted to fly a sea plane and they have tons on places for that. But to be honest never flew there. As for Lake Tahoe it's a wonderful area. I live in Minden about 20 minutes down the mountain. We have a great airport with 3 runways one dedicated to gliders. There is also Carson City. Which has a nice airport with one runway. Both are about a 10 minute flight in a slow ch-750 to climb up to Tahoe. Once up there the lake is beautiful and spectacular views. Tahoe also has an airport but with high density altitude and cross winds it can be very difficult in the summer. There is also a residential housing development with private airport in Dayton Nevada which is about an hour drive from Lake Tahoe to the east. If your not used to mountain flying I would recommend getting some instruction to better prepare you. Let me know if you have any questions about the area. I live here and am always willing to help a fellow light sport pilot.
