Sport Pilots - Do You Carry Your Logbook On Flights?

Post by tevbax »

Good Morning,

As a sport pilot, I have a certificate from the FAA that states I passed my check ride and am a certificated sport pilot. To add to this though, I have several endorsements that go along with it (above 87kt, B/C/D approval). Do I need to carry my logbook with me every time I fly in case I need to prove my endorsements? The question was raised during my check ride of, "what items do you NEED to bring with you to fly as a sport pilot", and even the DPE was unsure if I needed to or not.

Thanks!
