Re: Aircraft Insurance Question
Call Chris Wolbert at Aviation Insurance Resources. He's a broker that can shop a lot of companies for great price AND service. He has helped a lot of LSA guys with insurance.SportPilot wrote:I realize this question has probably been asked and answered numerous times, but things change so I'll ask it again.
Currently, my renters insurance is with NATIONAL UNION FIRE INSURANCE CO. OF PITTSBURGH, PA. This was purchased through AOPA. If I were to enter into a 50/50 partnership in a SkyCatcher, who do you advise would be the best insurance company to go with? I'm not looking for the most expensive or the cheapest. I'm looking for reasonable premiums and good coverage in the event of a claim.
Thanks.

Re: Aircraft Insurance Question
I've had very good luck with the EAA insurance program through Falcon Agency (Kerrville TX). You probably have to be an EAA member. They are definitely LSA-friendly. (Disclaimer - I have no commercial affiliation with them whatever - just been a customer for 5 years)

Re: Aircraft Insurance Question
That's a very reasonable rate.

Re: Aircraft Insurance Question
VERY good rate. My last renewal was for $1285 with $75k hull + $1M liability, zero deductible. (down from $1410 the previous year)SportPilot wrote: http://www.air-pros.com/index.php
Got a quote of $895 from USSIC for $65,000 hull and $1,000,000 liability for the 2 named pilots. Seems pretty reasonable.
I'm guessing the number of hours in your logbook compared to mine accounts for a good bit of the difference.
