The MERFI (Mid East Regional Fly In) is this weekend at Grimes Field (I74) at Urbana, Ohio. Nice restaurant on the field, and a local company is sponsoring a B-17 restoration project at the airport. If you've never seen a B-17 in a zillion pieces you need to check it out.
The fly-in has been looking for a new home after being at the Marion, Ohio airport for years. Last year it was held at Mansfield, Ohio which is class D airspace, cutting down on the number of ultralight and NORDO fliers. Hopefully, being at Urbana will lead to a good turnout this year. Look for me in the Flight Design CTLS (if it's available ).

Fly-Ins are excuses for pilots to go somewhere and eat. Airplanes. Food. What else could you ask for? Know of an upcoming fly-in? A great $100 hamburger? Don't keep it a secret. Share it here!
