Jekyll Island 09J - for the day or weekend

I thought I'd posted some info on this joint GA-FL 'RAF Weekend' a while back but I obviously didn't.
For those of you in the Southeast, please feel free to join us the weekend of October 4th-6th on Jekyll Is. For those who haven't visited there, it's a small barrier island on GA's coast with a very unique history, little development and a quiet, natural beauty. A description of the event can be found on the RAF website here: http://theraf.org/civicrm/event/info?reset=1&id=63
We'll be handling the logistics, including getting you from your plane to the campground or just a quiet drive around the north end of the island. So even if you wanted to drop in for just the day you would be welcome. And 09J's paved 3700' runway should make the island accessible for everyone. There's no ramp fee (also no fuel, altho' it's available 5 NM north on St. Simon's Is.) and electric golf carts are available at the airport if you'd like to explore the island more thoroughly.
The Recreational Aviation Foundation is about protecting, improving and adding airstrips at interesting recreational & backcountry destinations all around the country...but we're also interested in flying to those interesting destinations and sharing that enjoyment with others. We're proud to have won both the 2011 and 2012 Lightspeed Foundation Awards, which were voted on by pilots and aviation enthusiasts all across the country. If you'd like to learn a bit more about what we're doing for folks who fly recreationally, please check out our website, PM me or - best of all - drop in for a visit at Jekyll Island.
