This is HOPELESS!!!!!

Sport aviation is growing rapidly. But the new sport pilot / light-sport aircraft rules are still a mystery to many flight schools and instructors. To locate a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, click on the "Flight School And Rental Finder" tab above. This is a great place to share ideas on learning to fly, flight schools, costs and anything else related to training.

Kevin, you have been given some good advice, there is only one lsa in my area and after 14 hours in it I have come to the realization that at this point I don't like it. lsa is in it's infancy and that can be troublesome as you know.
What I am doing while I hope for a light sport is continuing to study and flying 172's and a symphony 160 (which I really like). It doesn't matter what you train in as long as you checkride light sport. I suppose you can't solo unless it's light sport but hey your flying. :D Good luck and let us know how you're doing.
