Hi from Saint Cloud Florida

Post by Orlando M. »

Hi everyone, just got my first ride on an amphibian LSA and love it. I like to start by building my own design so I hope I'M in the right place for help and encouragement. I have been in the car replica building business for a long time and have some skills check this link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olJwXIQgJ24 Don't know anything about building a plane do. Planing in to joining the local EAA in the next meeting to start getting in touch with the industry. Any advice will help thanks. Orlando M.

Hello, Orlando...and welcome to the forum. We may have a lot to learn - and enjoy - from hearing about your efforts. And the EAA is one good place to start.

It sounds like you have some excellent, relevant skills for building your own a/c...but don't overlook the seriously complex nature of designing an a/c, and the also complex nature of test flying it before the basics of its flight envelope are understood.
