Desser Tire now has an Aero Classic 8 ply 400-6 "Premium" that should last several more hours.

FAA proposal for Private/IFR Combination

Any thoughts on the FAA's rulemaking on a combined private pilot/IFR rating license? How will this affect the LSA student market who can only complete one and not the other?

I know one thing we don't need is another LSA manufacturer or new LSA model.. there's already too many out there and we are in the midst of a manufacturer clean up.

However, I applaude any new venture and wish your University the best of luck.

What's the fuel capacity difference between the two Allegro models? Is fuel in the wings or fuselage? The 2007 model has 10.5 gallons more.. so 27 gallons as opposed to 16.5 in the Allegro 2000 How's the cabin space, and baggage capacity? I know Jim has been all over the states, but would you recom...

Exhuberant beyond my experience.. yes I would agree this is an accurate assesment of myself considering I am very VERY excited to be in this industry again.. I have worked for little to no pay for a month and a half, mopping floors and cleaning planes. All while keeping a good attitude about it all ...

Leasebacks

Can anybody give me some constructive information on leasebacks? I would like to know success stories or failure stories that you have had or someone you know has had. I'd like to get a better feel for just how profitable or costly these agreements can be and try to find what all of the profitable v...

Thanks for that invite I will definitely run it by my boss. My job is in LSA and if I wasn't open minded about learning information about other aircraft then I would not be able to survive. I will admit to being inexperienced in the field of LSA, the category being relatively new and myself being ev...

John, Please take note that the forum name is Sport Pilot Tak, not LSA Dealer Talk. Quit the sales pitch in every post you make, especially when the person didn't ask anything about your product. Can an average pilot routinely put the Remos down and get it stopped on an 800 foot gravel strip? Yes, ...

Ok ok.. my cover is blown, darn. I also am still unsure of who the list moderators are on here. I believe the fellow had asked about a cub for his 800 ft gravel strip. The specs of the aircraft I'm "pushing" quote a landing distance of 590 ft.. Seastar mentioned he "knows of nothing e...

Actually they CAN'T list anything they want on their gimmicks it would be false advertising. Don't see why anyone sees these numbers as shady. We recorded Rotax operating costs for an entire year at our flight school - 2.29 gallons/hour fuel burn in the Rotax 912. If every company bends and stretche...

I have not heard anything about the Cubcrafter at Oshkosh but I can tell you our Remos gets up in 300 feet or 9 seconds from full stop to liftoff.

Re: CT Ballyhoo

they all have buyer's remorse. Yes... because this is what I said.. they ALL have buyer's remorse right? I feel for thorpe even more now, you are putting words in to my mouth. Not every single LSA buyer or CT buyer for the most part is going to be 100% satisfied. Since I am a competitor of CT I hav...

All this I hear in the forum about people's postings in the CT forums are being deleted because only positive postings are allowed, nothing that would dare put CT in a negative light is acceptable. This prevents constructive criticism and is evidence of some dissatisfaction with CT owners. Also, Tho...

CT Ballyhoo

Man there is a lot of stank on here about CTs.. funny Remos beat them in a fly-off at a large University flight school here by a vote of 9-1. I've learned that in this fun job in aviation that I have there is no trickery, no flakyness, nothing is cloudy except the weather on certain days, and some p...
