Flight Design defers to Rotax for all engine related issues and Service Bulletins. So Flight Design owners are expected to adhere to SB issues by Rotax without re-consulting with FD. Rotax offers a varied series of training for owners and A&Ps. The official factory Rotax site is Rotax-Owner.com...

Re: How do you handle filling your LSA with auto-gas?

Re: Rudder Pedals are backwards!

As far as I know, on a motorcycle or bicycle, to turn left you lean to the left and turn the handlebars to the left. However, to initiate the lean to the left, you cause the tires to track slightly to the right of the center of gravity. To do this, you turn the handlebars to the right for an instan...

Re: Refuling high wing aircraft with auto fuel

Two 5-gallon jugs. I only put between 4 and 4.5 gallons in each to make them easier to handle. I keep a 3-foot step stool under each wing. I just climb up and dump it in. As to the whole static thing, the humidity seldom gets very low and from the measurements and observations I've made, I can't se...

Jim, Where exactly did the above quote come from? Was is on the sectional? Did it come from somewhere in 14 CFR 99.7? I have been unable to find it. Thanks, Randy Go to the FAA NOTAM page....https://pilotweb.nas.faa.gov/PilotWeb/ Click the tab marked "NOTAM Functions" and then click "...

How hard is it to understand this stuff? For our national security, just avoid these places. Fly your little LSA's somewhere else. You people who complain about this stuff will be the first and loudest to complain when a terrorist flies an airplane into a nuclear power plant. You would also be the ...

The Fleming glider thing is interesting and worth reading, but it's not really relevant as the FAA had told the local law enforcement that there wasn't an issue. This is a clear and simple example of local law enforcement officers overreaching both their knowledge and jurisdiction. Maybe the 'inten...
