Re: Major News! MOSAIC pre-publication version released!

After 700 hours of flying, show me the difference between a sport pilot and a private pilot.
More risk?
Based on what facts/evidence.

Re: SportPilotTalk.com Shutting Down in August

Perhaps the sport pilot segment is about to explode.
What with the mosaic changes coming.
Are you stopping 100 feet from the summit?
Maybe appeal for donations?
I’m in if you do.

Re: Major News! MOSAIC pre-publication version released!

We can fly 4 seaters but only take 1 passenger?
Why?
Just to punish us for not being “real pilots”?
After 700 hours, I can’t handle the responsibility of passengers?
Based on what facts?

Re: Hard starting Rotax 912 ULS

My shoot from the hip guess is ignition modules. This is a well known problem that causes hard starting when cold. I believe that warming the modules with a hair dryer and then trying to start is one test that can be done. This happened to mine a couple years ago and was solved with $1900 worth of t...

Re: Zodiac Zenair AMD models?

Shopping for a Dar is definitely the way to go. When I was looking to go experimental with my slsa, a few seemed to be looking for every reason to find an issue. Also, one seemed to want to come up with the most restrictive limitations possible. I call it savior of the world complex. The Dar I went ...

And a night flight endorsement.
They could even place some sort of an hour requirement for endorsements.
Treating pilots with hundreds of hours as if they are beginners is ridiculous.

Re: Brake Part Number

Aaah yes. Dealing with Tecnam. The day my P92E was converted to experimental was one of the best days of my life. I’m in the process of replacing the poorly designed Marc brakes with Matco’s. Not the tecnam approved Matcos with the too-small rotors and ball bearings. Instead, I ordered the Matcos th...

Most people who are familiar with the Marc brakes will agree that they should be replaced regardless of their condition.

Looks like the new rules will be even more ridiculous and convoluted, leading to more contempt and more flouting of them.
