I contacted a trainer For LSA semi close to home. Two hours away. For her to train me she wants me to join the local flying club @ 200.00 initial fee and 90.00 per month dues. Then 165 for the plane per hour and 40 an hour for instruction.My question is this normal ?

Thank you. You are a great help. I can't wait to get started. I am in the process of moving this month. I will be ordering the king all in one sport pilot course next month. I will be living about 5 miles from KOTH. I have a guest house on the property. If you every make a cross country, let me know...

You are correct. I would ground myself if it was a bad day. I am a 100% disabled veteran and I am a type two diabetic. I have my health under control. I just feel it would be better to go sport pilot. From what I have read once you are denied a medical you can no longer go sport pilot ether . This i...

That is the situation I find my self in. I fear I may not pass a flight medical test for the G.A. so sport pilot is the direction I wish to go.

no I want to stay in the LSA. I will in the end try owning a ELSA to keep my cost down.

Thank You. I think I am going to find a close to home CFI that has a lsa to train in and complete the hole process. Sounds like this may simplify things for me.

He is a CFI And what I know about flying you can fit in a thimble and still get a finger in it. My Question is , If he does not have a plane that meets sport pilot spec. Like a C150 can I train in that for all my schooling.

Yes it is a nice area. I live about three min. from the bay and 10 from the airport. I get to fish and fly.
I am starting the sport pilot course from king flight school and then My instructor at KOTH is Asa with coos aviation.I have to find my own plane. he does not have an LSA.
