I recommend Lightstream.
https://www.lightstream.com/
It’s a Suntrust company and they are easy to do business with and don’t require a lien on your airplane. Rates are upfront.

Re: Who owns a C162 Skycatcher? Some questions could use help with...
There is a secondary battery like others have stated. It might need to be replaced. Personally I ignored it and just immediately started my 162 after turning the master on. I hated waiting until the AHRs was set to start the engine when the PFD would just reboot anyway. Make sure all your SBs are co...

Re: Light sport dying?
Ok maybe I was being too pessimistic. I have a private pilot cert but always wanted to own an operate a light sport. I’m still a fan.

Light sport dying?
I’m a fan but it seems like it’s dying off. This board has maybe one new post a week at best. I wish it wasn’t so but it seems like light sport is dying off.

Re: Changes in life some personal observations
Don’t wait to get back into aviation. Life is too short and you may develop conditions that will not allow you to fly. My recommendation is to find friends with airplanes and get up in the air while taking lessons. Also, go get your medical now so that you can fly basic med for the rest of your life...

Re: Has Dan Johnson finally gone off his rocker?
My main feedback to Dan is to allow the person to speak more. He tends to speak for them too much. And yeah, it’s not a review.
I have never seen him review anything.

True, I bought this for my Mooney.fatsportpilot wrote:They look good but the dry weight is really high. A bit much for an LSA. Icybreeze is 16 lbs dry.ryoder wrote:Yep. I have purchased two. Bekool and Icybreeze and I like the Icybreeze more. Helps a lot. Takes the edge off.

Re: Has Dan Johnson finally gone off his rocker?
I think he is covering manufacturers that are venturing into GA territory and he kind of feels the need to tie this coverage back to LSA in his videos and online. That comment about the heavy engine is just an example of a stretch.

Re: Who is excited about the new Flight Simulator?
I have a custom PC that I honestly don't remember the build on it. I rebuild it every four or five years or so and typically get a 300 dollar video card a new MB CPU and that's about it. Two years ago I got a new laptop and its an Asus Republic of Gamers with a 17 inch screen Core I7 2.8GHZ 12GB RAM...

Who is excited about the new Flight Simulator?
I know I am. I bought FS2 with lawn mowing money as a kid for my Tandy 1000 and loved it. I got into FSX in 2014 and have a Cessna branded yoke, rudder pedals, push pull throttle mixture prop control and some radio controls. When the new sim is ready I will load it up and see how it works on my rig ...

Re: Cost of maintenance of a C-162
GDL 82 and all parts needed to install per the SB. It wasn’t cheap.
The point is they support the airplane. Cessna is a very strong company financially and have been supporting GA for years. They aren’t going anywhere they just don’t manufacture the 140, 150, 152 or 162 anymore.

Re: Cost of maintenance of a C-162
Lots of misinformation in this thread.
I have bought a bunch of parts for my 162. Tons of spares are in stock at cessnadirect and others. Also there are salvage parts too.
The airplane is still supported. Cessna just created an ADSB out parts kit. They issue SBs all the time.
