Re: Arion LS-1 Lightning

Yes, I did. The Mk1 horizontal stab was very, er, “sprightly”, and demanded absolute attention. I sneezed and bounced us off the straps. The MK2 tail provides a solid feel, and part of the mod is changing the bellcrank position to reduce overall travel. Arion quit shipping ANY MK1 tails years ago. T...

Re: Arion LS-1 Lightning

The only thing I miss are the back seats. Speed is actually better, climb is much faster on half the fuel burn. My annual was less expensive, since I could source all the consumables at NAPA. Obviously, I love to fly the Lightning. Stalls are predictable and benign and she tracks well, even in turbu...

Re: Class B, C, and D endorsement

Thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately, Basic Med is not an option for me.

I’m looking at the Arion Lightning as my foray to the world of Light Sport.

Class B, C, and D endorsement

I am currently PPSEL, and am going to be operating as Sport Pilot soon.
Because I have been operating in towered air space for 20 years, is an actual endorsement still required to exercise SP privileges in class B, C, and D airports?
