Re: Bristell - BRM Aero - HIGH WING B8

...and getting back to the Bristell vs. Tecnam topic: Bristell's core business is small aircraft and they seem to be pouring resources into expanding the business with some good quality products. Tecnam produces spectacular aircraft, but they appear to be ignoring the LSA end of their product range ...

Re: Bristell - BRM Aero - HIGH WING B8

I own a Tecnam Astore which is a superb aircraft, but if buying again I'd seriously consider Bristell; looks like they have a better focus on the small plane end of the market, whereas Tecnam appears to be ignoring small planes in favor of their larger models. And a pretty nice powered sailplane if...

Re: Hanger Space...no luck

It's pretty much the same in any urban area. If you're north of Denver, try Erie; I was on the wait list for about 3 months before being offered covered hangar space 9 months ago, although I no longer needed it by that point.

Congrats to your son! Is that a K-13 sailplane? I soloed in one back in the early 80's in the UK.

Re: Mogas refuelling best practices

Around $33 on Amazon, I ordered some this morning. The Astore fuel cap configuration is very similar and I'll make the same mod to the push button. Thanks again everyone for your input - safety with fuel is clearly an important item and it's good to confirm I'm on the right track.

Re: Mogas refuelling best practices

SHawnM, thanks for describing the 'No Spill" containers; I've started off using some high-density polyethylene containers that I've also used for refuelling my self-launching sailplane, but the No Spill is an even better solution and I'm going to try these out.

Re: Mogas refuelling best practices

Thank you everyone for your input, sounds like I've started off correctly. Roger, I'm in the Phoenix area and I'm sure I'll be getting in touch regarding Rotax maintenance in due course.

Mogas refuelling best practices

I plan on using mogas in my recently-purchased Tecnam Astore but have some concerns about the whole process of filling multiple 5 gallon polyethylene fuel containers at the gas station, transporting them to the airport, then refueling the aircraft's fuel tanks (in each wing on the Astore). Common se...
