Lots of glitzy marketing and not much substance. I don't believe they'll be in business much longer.

Re: It is so.

Now we can flush all the chat in this thread and boil it down to the following: 1) Day SVFR IS available for Sport Pilots, if needed, to enter controlled airspace when marginal weather is present. 2) While flying under Sport SVFR, 3 Miles of in-flight Visibility and Clear of clouds must be maintain...

Based on what have been answered so far and how the regulation read, I just need to fly to a destination airport that is 25 nm or more in straight line. Then fly a route to that airport that will add up to 75 nm both ways, not necessarily flying in straight line. William Sport Pilot Student That's ...

My guess is they couldn't get along the Czech Sport Aircraft folks and decided to cut the cord. I believe the same guy is involved with them as was when they were CZAW. He is know to be difficult to work with.

Re: Sort Of

(6) If a VFR pilot asks to "Participate" (ask ATC for service such as Flight Following) this plane is treated as an IFR aircraft. Having trouble agreeing with this one. If I'm on FF and I have a mid-air the controller is not going to have any complicity. You're still VFR and they try to h...

Re: sportcruiser piper sport

Well sportcruiser or piper sport since we build and distribute them its pretty easy to tell you that regardless the two aircraft come in a crate get built and without a piper sticker you would not be able to figure out which one is which, but okay. We alsohave a piper sport with well over 400 hours...

Re: Remos GX

We have a Remos GX with just over 400 hours and though we like many things about it, the Remos support staff have been less than responsive to warranty issues and have made ownership very unpleasant. We have two PiperSports and a Cessna and have had none of the issues exerienced with the Remos. The...

How do you post pictures again?[/img] Saw the 2006 and it was really nice. Didn't catch you but saw Helen, met Tommy and got a chance to chat with Mike and Lynn. Tecnam needs a sugar daddy like Remos has. The tent they had rivaled those of Cessna, Piper, etc. Those guys are really spending big buck...

Let's see I started at the age of 20 but didn't finish my training until 57. Too old, not likely!! I'm 6' 238 and have flown in several of the LSA aircraft. For the most part they're all as wide if not wider than your standard GA airplane. Have fun!!

I may go to OSH just to harass the Birminghams about the dearth of Rotax-trained mechanics. People aren't going to buy a plane like the P2006 if their local A & P can't work on it because he/she doesn't have Rotax certification. There are only two shops in my whole state qualified to work on th...
