The training @ Blue Ridge Community College Weyers Cave, VA is on for this June.
Rotax training is tentatively scheduled for June 6-9 with Lockwood's Dean Vogel.
LSRM training is June 12-30. Call Keith Dennis @ 540-453-2508 to reserve a spot.

LSRM-A Training

Blue Ridge Community College in Weyers Cave, VA schedules a LSRM-A, 120 hour course for June of each year. The course was cancelled last month due to low enrollment. A friend and I wish to attend next year. I'm hoping that with the two of us plus the enrollment from this year, the minimum class size...

Appalachian Outlaws

A Legend Cub was used on last nights show to extract a ginseng picker from the back country in WVA. The buyer paid the picker for the ginseng and told him to pay the pilot. I know it's a show, but is it legal to fly for hire in a Light Sport? I say no.

The CTSW next to me just had the 5 year hose change and there is NO WAY that that job can be done in 12 hours!

I have always felt that if you have operated a bulldozer, you can fly.
The dozer blade control is up and down. Left and right is tilt. And you steer with your feet. Equipment operators make good pilots.

Go to ctflier.com and that forum will answer all your questions. I have a LS and my friend has a SW. We fly up to 350nm legs. He can run away from me in the SW. It's lighter, smaller wheel pants and has its' prop pitch for speed.
