training in Ohio
Hi everyone, I am a rusty sport pilot in need of some training and a BFR. I do not have an airplane so I need an instructor or flight training school that have a Light Sport aircraft available. Anybody know of such a thing in north central Ohio?

Re: Who holds only a SP Certificate?
Sport pilot only. Not interested in a private pilot license, but if they replace the 3rd class medical with a drivers license medical I am in.

But when will LSAs be spread out to flight schools? And I do mean MANY flight schools. Now that Cessna has delivered its first SkyCrasher, and Piper has acquired the SportCrusher, I think you're about to see a significant increase in LSA penetration into flight schools (At least, I hope so...) Ha H...

I'm not sure what type of support you are looking for but I think it's safe to say that without the EAA we probably wouldn't have the LSA category in the first place. They are the main champions of Light Sport aircraft and the people who fly them. I would like to see them push the Feds to include he...

There are three people at my airport building the cx4. That's great! The only thing being built at my airport is cobwebs. :( I fell in love with the CX4 after the there was an article on it in the EAA magazine. My brother and I bought a 22 ft. motorhome yesterday, so if things work out we will be &...

I hope to get to Oshkosh this year, but the details are still up in the air. I might fly in with my brother in his Beech Debonair or we might buy/borrow a camper to make the trip. I would really like to see a Thatcher CX4 as I have been giving some thought to building one. I haven't been to Oshkosh ...

The CTLS I was talking about had hit it's tail at least once before. Last summer a couple of guys rented the airplane and took it to Oshkosh. While they were practicing takeoffs and landings after being checked out they managed to drag the tail. I discovered it while doing a pre-flight a week or so ...

I learned to fly at Bucyrus in the CTSW. Unfortunately that aircraft was destroyed in a landing accident at Delaware, Oh.a few months back when the student pilot trying to land it veered off the runway. The flight school at Bucyrus was discontinued due to a lack of interest, although there are a cou...

The flight school where I got my Sport Pilot license currently has 2 Gobosh 700s that they use for training. I've flown them and though they are nice airplanes I prefer the Flight Design CTLS. Here are a few thoughts on the Gobosh: The Gobosh handles nicely in the air, no surprises and the control f...

Great response! I think a lot of pilots don't have respect for Light Sport airplanes. One time a guy got out of a Mooney while the pilot fueled it up and came over to check out the FDsw I had just parked on the ramp. He checked it over and proceeded to say that wasn't much more than a plastic play t...

Wow. What is it about Flight Design airplanes that brings out complaints? There seem to be a lot of unhappy people out there. Are pilots and airplane owners up in arms over other Light Sport manufacturers and I just don't know about it? I think I'm going to head for a foxhole before the shooting sta...
