Toronto/GTA 'LSA' training

Post by pitfield »

Training experiences appear to vary greatly, and for that reason I'd like to mention a superb training facility located about 75 minutes north of Toronto. Edenvale Flight operates from a former RCAF air base. They have four of five Evektor Sportstars, which they maintain with great care. I have now flown with three of four instructors, and they're all superb (I'd encourage students to fly with as many instructors as possible; I've learned something new from each of them). Most importantly, the instructors are all committed teachers and effective communicators. For a Toronto resident it's a bit of an irritant to face a 75 minute drive each way, but the quality of the experience makes it more than worthwhile.
