How do you guys feel about the support coming from AOPA & EAA.
As a sport pilot. Is it sufficient, is there anything that you would change, is there an area that needs to be addressed?

I'm not sure what type of support you are looking for but I think it's safe to say that without the EAA we probably wouldn't have the LSA category in the first place. They are the main champions of Light Sport aircraft and the people who fly them. I would like to see them push the Feds to include heavier aircraft in the Light Sport class.
AOPA has as it's main mission the overall support of general aviation. I don't think that they have any particular feelings or positions on Light Sport aircraft or pilots . I would hope that they would work as hard on our behalf as they do for all other fliers.

EAA is definitely farther up the support ladder. I believe that they understand that in a down economy, you need all the members and interest that you can generate.
AOPA has been slow to come to that realiztion. I think AOPA still sees itself as the champion of the higher dollar end of General Aviation, ie Jets, VLJs, etc. You also have to realize that the high end is what supports the advertising, or did.
GAMA is also not LSA friendly.
LSA/SP is a part of General Aviation; even some of the LSA folks haven't figured that out yet.
