Ah. Yes, I should have recognized it. I've been into KSEZ quite a few times (but not for some time now). Last time, I pitched my tent on the lawn in front of the restaurant, and camped there with my son (he was a teenager then, so it must have been about 30 years ago... damn, we're getting old!)

I did not see the corona virus on my ADS-B so it was a beautiful morning up there. Be safe and take care of yourself and your family.
I tried, Shawn, but our dog walker called to say he is going to follow the California stay-at-home guidelines and won't be walking dogs for the next three weeks. I stayed home and walked the dog since I couldn't get anyone else on short notice.
Maybe another time Stan, our dog takes priority to........sometimes. If I'm heading out to fly the girlfriend get to walk our Greyhound, sadly he wont fit in my SportCruiser.

I had a text late last night from a good friend in Palm Springs that a mutual friend, a retired Continental Airlines captain, has been hospitalized in Desert Regional Medical Center for the past week with Covid-19 infection. He's in ICU and on a ventilator. They have him in an induced coma, and according to my buddy it doesn't look good.

Stay safe everyone.

I’d love to still be flying solo in my own plane, thousands of feet above Coronavirus! 8)

I suspect that most of us who don't own our own planes are effectively grounded. Even if I could get to a plane to use, it would take a boatload of Clorox wipes to clean everything, and I'd sure have to buy my own headset (I know, should do that anyway!). But as it is, I'm sheltering in place a couple of thousand miles from home, and in no rush to return to the East Coast the way things are right now.

And in response to anyone minimizing the problem, I can only say that my 2 daughters are an epidemiologist at CDC and an ER nurse, respectively. I won't bore you (or freak you out) with the info they've shared with me, but suffice it to say, no matter what you're hearing, it's an understatement.

If you don't take your own health seriously, fine. But remember that your actions affect everyone else's health too. (I'm not blaming anyone for flying, though -- if I had my own plane, I'd be rolling up some hours!)

I'm hoping to "roll up some hours" tomorrow morning, heading up to Cedar Key on the gulf coast of Florida and then back down the coast to Clearwater. I'll be social distancing at about 4500 feet.
