Less than 1-year old. Works seamlessly with iPad & Foreflight. $350.00.
Flying magazine review said "It’s the most talked-about product of the year, and the easiest way to get in-flight weather on your iPad. Stratus is a totally wireless, portable receiver that streams NEXRAD radar, text weather, TFRs and GPS position to the ForeFlight app—all without a monthly subscription. Simply turn on Stratus, connect to your iPad and go flying. There are no wires, no subscriptions and no hassles."

selling to get the new one, might i ask?
Re: For Sale: Stratus ADS-B Receiver
If it were WingX compatible, I probably would make an offer. Unfortunately, Hilton Goldstein posted:
Pity, since there are now 11 ADS-B receivers supported by WingX.Stratus
We asked, they declined.

Re: For Sale: Stratus ADS-B Receiver
From the Foreflight website:
"ForeFlight Mobile 5.1 will unlock traffic on the first generation Stratus portable ADS-B receiver."
Apparently it's only single band (978Mhz), but still very useful.
At 50% off the new price, this is a good deal.

Re: For Sale: Stratus ADS-B Receiver
I hate to burst bubbles but I fly in a congested airspace (DFW) and rarely get ADS-B traffic on my dual band GDL-39. Without ADS-B in your plane, you will not see ground transmissions unless you are in the vicinity of an appropriately equipped aircraft. Air-to-air always works but, of course, it only picks up ADS-B out traffic which very few planes have.
Don't get me wrong -- the traffic displays are great but may not meet your expectations.
I'm tempted to replace my Garmin 327 with Trig TT31 ADS-B transponder and interface with the GDL-39 so I complete my ADS-B transformation. Only would need to add a certified GPS in 2020.

Re: For Sale: Stratus ADS-B Receiver
A new first-gen Stratus is now being sold for ~$650 which, in my mind, makes this one-year old Stratus a real bargain.

By the way, for those of you considering an upgrade to Stratus 2, my first Gen sold for $550 on eBay.Flocker wrote:Sold!

I really like the idea of ADS-B, and displaying traffic on the iPad. However, I wouldn't depend upon it solely for collision avoidance. There are enough unpainted targets out there that see-and-avoid is still essential.
I guess I'm exhibiting Stratus fear...
