Talk about airplanes! At last count, there are 39 (and growing) FAA certificated S-LSA (special light sport aircraft). These are factory-built ready to fly airplanes. If you can't afford a factory-built LSA, consider buying an E-LSA kit (experimental LSA - up to 99% complete).

Not me.
If I can't find it, someone can point me to it.
I think I would continue flying until I don't know what the hangar is for. :D

Newbie to this board. I gave up flying twice. First time was a year or two after getting my PP in '99. Started a new business and the cost of flying just wasn't in the budget. Got the itch again in '07, and went the sport pilot route and built a small kit (X-Air Standard). After the second engine out and some damage done by the off field landing, I sold the plane in 2012.

Considered seriously getting another plane a couple of years ago, but didn't. Last week, after taking a few lessons to get rid of the rust and getting a new BFR, I reached an agreement to buy another plane, subject to inspection. I've still given up on 2 strokes, but the itch to fly just doesn't go away.

Welcome to the forum, BPS-- and welcome back to flying! Good luck with the new plane purchase (and I share your resistance to 2-stroke engines!)

Gawd, enough with the deleted threads and posts, it's maddening!!!

If you don't want anybody to see what you've ever said on the internet, don't say it in the first place.

Ah...it has been his habit to remove a bunch of posts in the past, so hard to tell what's done by him and what's done by admins. :D

Let me just add this...

Assuming it's the member I think it is, and I'm pretty sure it is...

I've met him a handful of times and flown with him at least twice. He's a nice, personable guy, eager to help out and share his knowledge.

Which makes the actions of this online persona all the more odd.

Two of his three previous screen names appear to have been removed as well, but one still can be found with all of his ".............." posts.

I miss flying more than life itself. It is one of the most challenging and most rewarding things that I have ever experienced... and that’s saying A LOT considering some of the extraordinary things that I have done. (I even wrote a book about it.)
