Finally got a chance to get back in the air after a few months recovering from ankle surgery. Luckily in a two control Ercoupe your left foot is just along for the ride!

Nice to see your 'Coupe has the fabric wings. Metallized ones add way too much weight.

I have heard as much as 40lbs for metal wings. Mine is light if the log book is to be believed (from an April 1998 airframe log entry): New Empty Weight 783.5, new Useful Load 616.5.

Yep, started with an accelerated SP course, and continued with a PP so I could fly the 1400lb gw Ercoupe 415-E model. Sadly the 415-C Sport Pilot eligible Ercoupe project has become a parts donor to keep the E model flying. A few more pics of the recent flights:
