Since I can't find a CFI interested in SP training in my area of Maryland (yes I checked sportpilot.org and called them all), I'm considering going with Lockwood http://www.lockwoodaviation.com/index.htm
Can anyone who's gone through their SP course in less than a month give me a recommendation, lessons learned etc... A pm is fine if you'd rather. Thanks.

I called the owner of Chesapeake Sport Pilot a week ago and he said he'd have a CFI call me, but no call, so I guess they're not interested.

Tim - I don't think I'd give up so easily on Cheapeake. I don't think it's a matter of not caring or not wanting your business, but more a matter of being really busy. They are a dedicated sport pilot school and they have lots of interest from lots of people. But I think you would benefit yourself a lot by being a little more persistent. Also realize that Oshkosh starts in a few days and many light sport businesses and wing nuts like ourselves are preparing to make the trip.
Do yourself a favor and call again. Don't be afraid to give them a little crap (in a nice way) for not returning your call. I think with a little persistence you can have a very rewarding experience. Remember that pretty much everybody in your area is having the same experience as you are in trying to get started in sport flying.
Don't give up too soon! It *IS* worth the effort and patience required. When you actually start flying you will find that patience and persistence will both be needed to get your ticket. Remember it's journey, too, not just arriving at the destination that life is all about.

Thanks!
