FAA written test iphone app?

Sport aviation is growing rapidly. But the new sport pilot / light-sport aircraft rules are still a mystery to many flight schools and instructors. To locate a flight school offering sport pilot training and/or light-sport aircraft rentals, click on the "Flight School And Rental Finder" tab above. This is a great place to share ideas on learning to fly, flight schools, costs and anything else related to training.

FAA written test iphone app?

Post by pjcampbell »

Can anyone recommend a good iphone app for studying for this? There's a few out there for 10 bucks. I would imagine the Sporty's version is decent?

There's one from Dauntless and ASA too. All look decent.

I've been using the ASA -- I will say that i think its a great idea to at least get it for the ipad if you want to be able to see the diagrams clearly... My eyes aren't that bad, and for the actual text-only, the iphone is great.

PJ,
I had the ASA Sport Pilot app for my iphone but for me it just didnt help me absorb the material as I was going through it.

I probably spent $100 on apps before I was forced to transition from Sport to Private but I cannot sing the praises of Gleim's online ground school enough. If $99 isn't too pricey for you I highly recommend going that route. The study material was spot on with the Written test.

(I'm in no way affiliated with Gleim, just very pleased with what they offer)

Best of luck!
