First, glad to see the site back up.
I was reading the webpage for Hansen Air Group here in Atlanta. I had heard that they were offering or were going to offer Sport Pilot flight training. The home page of their website confirms it, with this announcement:
Instructor Opportunities Available! Interest in Light Sport has been tremendous within the aviation community and the public in general. With the growing popularity of the Sport Pilot License and Light Sport Aircraft, Hansen Air Group has received hundreds of inquiries about renting Sky Arrow 600 Sport aircraft and Sport Pilot training. With the arrival of our new demonstrator Sky Arrow 600 Sport today, we now have two Sky Arrows available for rental/training. Adding the additional aircraft, plus training for several new Able Flight scholarship winners, makes it necessary for us to increase our training staff at our metro Atlanta facility. We will need several part-time instructors in order to meet these increased demands of checking out already licensed renters and training new Sport Pilot students. Interested candidates should be familiar with Sport Pilot and Light Sport Aircraft instruction and operation. Candidates should also be willing to instruct students who may have physical challenges. If you are a CFI teaching private pilot students, you already know the basics of Sport Pilot and how rewarding it can be to teach someone to fly. As the program grows there will be more instructional opportunities with possible full time positions available. If you would like to share your knowledge and love of aviation and at the same time fly a modern and unique aircraft, please contact us by e-mail at [email protected] or by phone 770.427.6311. Please include the words Sky Arrow Instruction on the subject line of all e-mails.
So they are offering flight training and aircraft rental now. I know a lot of people have been asking whey they can get training and if there are aircraft available for rent. Well, now the answer to both questions is yes, in the Atlanta Area. Those looking might want to check them out. My giorl friend has been interested in learning how to fly and is leaning more toward Sport Pilot than Private Pilot, so I'm goijng to look into it for her.
